Constructed circa 1840 for Atwood Litchfield, Jr. who owned it until 1889.
Atwood Litchfield, Jr elected Medford Selectman, served during Civil War Period.
In later years, shared with Atwood Litchfield, Sr., who was born in the 1790's.

1630 — Settlement incorporated (fourth oldest English settlement in North America).
1670s — Peter Tufts House, 350 Riverside Ave, built (believed oldest brick house in the country).
1775 — Paul Revere rode through town, alerting Medford's Minutemen.
1803 to 1873 — a hub of clipper shipbuilding along the Mystic River.
